Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This website belongs to Rohan Mann, author of Space and Spice and Everything Precise. This page explains how your information is handled when you visit the website or join the newsletter.
The short version: I only ask for your email address when you subscribe, I use it to send you book-related updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time. I don’t sell your personal information.
What I collect
When you subscribe to the newsletter, you provide your email address. My newsletter provider, Kit, may also record information such as your subscription date, approximate location, device information, and whether you open or click emails.
When you contact me directly, I receive the information you include in your message.
The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information such as IP addresses and network requests to deliver the website securely and reliably.
How I use it
I use your information to send you the newsletter, including launch news, cover reveals, bonus entries from Aww’s blog, and occasional updates about my books. I also use it to respond when you contact me and to maintain the website and newsletter.
Newsletter subscriptions are voluntary. Where applicable, I rely on your consent to send you these emails. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
I will never sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone for their own marketing.
Who stores it
The newsletter is managed through Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which processes subscriber information on my behalf. Kit is based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Singapore.
The website is hosted through Cloudflare, which processes technical information to deliver, protect, and maintain the website. This information may be processed internationally.
The website also uses Google Fonts for its typography. Loading these fonts may involve your browser connecting to Google’s servers.
Cookies and tracking
I don’t use advertising cookies or third-party advertising analytics that I’ve separately configured on this website.
Cloudflare may use essential cookies for website security, depending on the services enabled. Kit’s embedded signup form may also use cookies or similar technologies to manage subscriptions.
Kit may use tracking technologies in newsletter emails to measure engagement.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
You can also contact me to ask what personal information I hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion. Unsubscribing stops future newsletters, but Kit may retain a record of your previous subscription unless that information is separately deleted.
Where applicable data-protection laws provide additional rights, including rights to restrict or object to processing or request data portability, you can contact me about those too.
How long I keep it
Your subscriber information is retained while you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe, I stop sending emails, although some subscription records may be retained for administrative or compliance purposes.
You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to any information that must be retained for legitimate legal or administrative reasons.
Technical information processed by the website’s service providers is retained according to their applicable policies and service configurations.
